Close Out and Submit to the USCF

Finish a rated event — mark it complete, settle the prizes, and generate the USCF rating report from the results you already entered.

The last round is scored and the trophies are handed out. Three things left: mark the event complete, settle the prizes, and get the results to the USCF. Because every result is already in Rook Ready, the rating report builds itself — there’s no crosstable to assemble by hand.

Mark the tournament complete

When the final round of every section is scored, the dashboard prompts you to Mark completed. Doing so locks the results and unlocks the rating report.

The dashboard lifecycle banner reading All rounds complete — every section has finished its final round — with a Mark completed button.
When every section's last round is scored, the dashboard prompts you to mark the tournament completed.

Settle the prizes

On the Prizes tab, Rook Ready computes the winners from the final standings. Prizes come in three kinds — Place (1st, 2nd, 3rd…), Class (top player in a rating band), and Special — and the computed winners update straight from the crosstable.

Generate the USCF rating report

Head to the report (the Export / USCF report screen). The Generate report button is available once the tournament is marked complete, and the report is produced for rated events — it pulls your sections, players, ratings, and every result into the format the USCF expects.

The generated USCF TD report — status Generated, an export preview listing players, round pairings and results, and final standings, with Download USCF .txt and FIDE TRF16 buttons.
Generate builds the USCF-format report — players, pairings, results, and final standings — ready to download and submit.

If you made any corrections during the event, they travel with the report as a corrections log — one line per override, with who changed what and why. That’s your paper trail if a result is ever questioned.

Submit it to the USCF

The generated report is the file the USCF’s tournament-reporting system expects. Submit it through your USCF affiliate’s reporting process, and keep a copy on file alongside the event as your record of what went in. Once the USCF processes it, the event is officially rated and your players’ new ratings reflect the games they played.
