The problem

Running a rated event is a second job.

You collect entries in one place, re-type them into pairing software, run the rounds, copy standings into an email, then assemble a rating report by hand for the USCF. Every round is a context switch, and the roster you already maintain for your club may as well not exist.

Rook Ready runs the tournament on top of your existing club. The players are your members, registration flows into the entry list, the pairing engine does the rounds, and the rating report comes out the other end — no re-keying, no second source of truth.

What's in it

From first entry to rating report.

The tournament director's section card: rounds one through three done, round four awaiting results, a live top-three, and quick actions to review pairings, open standings, and enter results.
The director's view mid-event: three rounds done, round 4 awaiting results, and everything one click away.

Swiss pairings

Generate each round with a pairing engine built to the USCF rules — color allocation, score groups, and look-ahead handled for you. Review before you post.

Live standings & tie-breaks

Results roll into standings as you enter them, with the common tie-break systems computed automatically. Players and parents see the current crosstable in real time.

USCF rating report

Export the rating submission when the event closes — the file the USCF expects, generated from the results you already entered. No hand assembly.

Online registration

Players sign up through a form that captures USCF ID, section, and entry details — and existing members are pre-filled, so the entry list builds itself. See the guide →

Built for USCF play

The details a generic bracket tool gets wrong.

Rules-true pairings

Score groups, color balance, and due-color logic follow the USCF Swiss rules — not an approximation that a director has to second-guess.

Tournament Director roles

Hand a director the keys to run rounds without making them a club admin. Scoped access for the people at the board.

One source of truth

The event is part of the club, so members, contacts, and history are all already there — the tournament isn't a separate island of data.

At the venue

Pairings in every pocket — even when the wifi isn't there.

Players and parents check pairings and standings from their phones, and the director's tools are built to keep running through the kind of spotty venue connection every tournament has seen.
